I used to feel overwhelmed every time I looked at my makeup pile. Brushes, lipsticks, palettes — all scattered everywhere. It wasn’t just messy; it made getting ready stressful.
One quiet Sunday, I had enough. I told myself, “No more digging through drawers just to find one eyeliner.” I didn’t want to buy expensive organizers either. So I got a little creative — and that changed everything.
🛠️ My Simple, No-Fuss DIY Makeup Organizer
Here’s exactly how I created my own setup using affordable (and sometimes recycled) things around the house:
🪞 What I grabbed:
-
A couple of old clear drawers
-
Some cardboard pieces from old packaging
-
Contact paper (mine was marble print)
-
A hot glue gun
-
Small baskets from the local market
-
A rotating Lazy Susan I had in my kitchen!

🪄 What I Did (Step by Step):
1. I sorted everything.
I pulled out all my makeup and skincare. Most of it I wasn’t even using! I kept only the products I use regularly and gave away the rest.
2. I made DIY dividers.
Using cardboard and contact paper, I created sections inside an old shoebox. It looked surprisingly neat — and it was free!
3. I made a Lazy Susan organizer.
I glued small containers on top of a Lazy Susan. It now holds my daily essentials, and I just spin it to grab what I need. So satisfying.
4. I used baskets for bulky stuff.
My palettes and skincare bottles went into labeled bins. Now, everything has its place.
5. I gave old items a makeover.
A quick coat of gold spray paint on old containers made them look so cute and Instagram-worthy.
6. I labeled everything.
I printed some labels on plain paper and taped them on — lips, face, brushes, skincare. It’s made my routine smoother than ever.
